Privacy and cookies
last updated 1 November 2026
This site is run by me, Mark Eriksson, and I’m responsible for the data it collects. If you have a question about it, email [email protected].
Analytics cookies, only if you accept
If you accept cookies, the site loads Google Tag Manager, which runs Google Analytics. Google Analytics records which pages you visit, the site that sent you, your device and browser, and roughly where you are, worked out from your IP address. I use it only to see how people find the site and what they look at. It sets these cookies:
| Cookie | What it’s for | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Tells visitors apart | 2 years |
| _ga_<id> | Keeps track of your visit | 2 years |
Google processes this data under its own privacy policy and may store it outside the UK. Analytics data is kept for no more than 14 months.
If you reject cookies, Google Tag Manager isn’t loaded at all and none of this happens.
Changing your mind
Use here or at the bottom of any page. If you withdraw consent, the site stops sending data to Google and deletes the Google cookies it can reach.
Other data
- Your browser’s local storage keeps your light or dark theme and your cookie choice. They stay on your device and aren’t sent anywhere.
- The site is served through Cloudflare. Cloudflare and my web server keep standard logs (IP address, page requested, browser) for security and to keep the site running. Cloudflare may set a security cookie such as __cf_bm if it needs to check for bots. That cookie is strictly necessary, so it doesn’t need consent.
- If you email me, I keep the email so I can reply.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete personal data I hold about you by emailing me. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
